Photostory: The Edmonton Region is racing to get 5,000 hydrogen vehicles on the roads
On June 27th, a unique event brought together MLAs, municipal council members, and hydrogen industry leaders from across the Edmonton Region to the RAD Torque Raceway.
The event, hosted by Edmonton Global, Alberta Motor Transport Association, Rad Torque Raceway, and Edmonton International Airport (YEG), allowed guests to experience YEG's fleet of hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs), specifically the Toyota Mirai.

This event demonstrates the Region’s joint efforts to accelerate the hydrogen economy and drive the 5,000 Hydrogen Vehicle Challenge forward.
Now is the time to establish the Edmonton Region as a leader in hydrogen. Everyone can play a role in the 5,000 Hydrogen Vehicle Challenge and help to decarbonize Western Canada's commercial transportation sector. Adding one of YEG's Toyota Mirais to your fleet could be the first step to meeting your sustainability goals.
